A.I.S.E. and its member companies are committed to acting responsibly in order to benefit the end-user, and to maintain high standards of human and environmental safety. Several voluntary initiatives have been developed and implemented over the years, notably the
A.I.S.E. Code of Good Environmental Practice (‘the Code’).
|
A.I.S.E. wants to continue to build on that success and has launched, in conjunction with its national association members, several important initiatives based on a key element of the Code - promoting a more sustainable level of consumption of products and energy during the laundry process.
These initiatives are a key element of A.I.S.E.’s sustainability strategy, and specifically aim to minimise the environmental impact of the laundry process, through optimising the sustainability profile of detergent powders, liquids and fabric conditioners, and by promoting their sustainable production and consumption via compaction/concentration and adequate consumer information.
Companies that participate commit to ensuring that all their products in the applicable category comply with the low-dosage criteria by the end date of the project. A.I.S.E. in turn commits to conducting targeted communication activities to create awareness among consumers about the benefit of using the new formulations that require lower dosing. |
These initiatives are listed below and details of their scope, implementation and consumer communication elements are attached.
