Enzymes are important and versatile ingredients for the detergent industry. However, they are respiratory sensitizers and therefore the use of enzymes and safe handling of finished bulk laundry & cleaning products in manufacturing operations necessitates safe handling precautions, particularly for worker protection.
Following the long-standing work of A.I.S.E. in collaboration with AMFEP, the sector continues to produce guidance to ensure all actors in the supply chain are aware of how to handle enzymes safely. Guidance on Enzyme Safety Operational Guidance For 3rd Party (3PL) Logistics Suppliers has thus been produced to cover this step in the supply chain.
