Today, the European Commission published its highly-anticipated Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability. This Strategy is a key component of the overarching European Green Deal, aiming for a carbon-neutral Europe by 2050.
A.I.S.E. welcomes the Chemicals Strategy and its commitment to safety and sustainability. We support an EU strategy for chemicals that prioritises the protection of human health and the environment. However, we reinforce today the need for a sound scientific basis rather than generic hazard-based approaches.
