We are very happy to welcome Lonza Solutions Ltd to the A.I.S.E. network as an Associate member. Lonza’s application for membership was approved at today’s A.I.S.E. General Assembly.
Lonza Solutions Ltd is founded in Switzerland in 1897. It has more than 13,000 employees and operates 120 sites and offices in over 35 different countries. The Lonza Group comprises two segments: (i) Lonza Pharma, Biotech & Nutrition (LPBN) and (ii) Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI). LSI is itself divided into two primary Business Units: Specialty Chemical Services (SCS) and Microbial Control Solutions (MCS).
Lonza is working on innovative and smart microbial control solutions for resource protection and a consumer-centric healthy environment, also offering anti-microbial active ingredients and formulated solutions to maintain hygiene standards in hospitals, schools, food processing plants, restaurants, homes etc. - as well as a range of preservatives to ensure the stability and safety of such products during storage.
Lonza is already familiar with some of the A.I.S.E. priorities through its involvement with Biocides for Europe, and joint working groups such as the BIT Advocacy Project TF, Disinfectants Efficacy WG , the Biocidal Product Family WG and the Dietary Risk Assessment WG.
Lonza will be presented at A.I.S.E. by Jedrzej Gromadecki. We welcome Lonza and believe that the company’s expertise in hygiene and home and personal care business will be valuable addition to the whole network.
